From AuthorSure version 1.6 you have control over the inclusion of the Author section on a page by page basis on custom post types pages as well as normal pages and posts.
This now means you can control whether or not you want an author box or footnote, with its rel=author link to the author page, to appear on landing pages, thank you pages, etc.
A typically configuration on a multiple author business site would be to display author information on posts but hide on pages and custom post types. You can implement this with a single click on the AuthorSure settings page.
On a single author site which is more personality led, you might want to display the author information on all posts and pages apart from a few exceptions such as the Privacy Statement, Terms and Conditions and any squeeze pages. You can do this will a single click for each exception.
This new feature of page by page control of author links gives you full control to set up your author information exactly as you like it.
Author Links On Normal Posts
On standard posts, author sections are enabled by default but you can suppress author links on a page by page basis by clicking the disable author links on this page checkbox in the post editor when editing that post.
Author Links On Custom Post Types:
On custom posts, author sections are disabled by default but you can enable author links on a page by page basis by clicking the enable author links on this page checkbox in the post editor. This is how it appears on a custom post which is a Landing Page.
Author Links On Pages
On standard pages, you can control the default setting in AuthorSure Post Settings by deciding whether or not to click the checkbox Hide on Pages. This controls whether or not you want author information to appear on all pages, or on no pages, as a general rule.
Having set a default setting to show the author information on pages you can still override this setting and suppress the author section on individual pages. Below we explicitly suppress the Author Box on a Privacy Statement page.
Similarly, if you have set the default setting to suppress the author information on pages you can still override this setting and show the author section on individual pages by clicking the enable author links on this page checkbox in the page editor.
