AuthorSure can place a box containing a photo of the author, their bio and the rel=author link at the foot of each post.
This is useful for sites where you are either using a theme that does not support the post byline with the rel=author link, or you may just prefer to have the author bio at the foot of the post to give greater publicity to the author. This approach makes it very attractive for any writers making guest posts on your site.
Prerequisites to Using An Author Box
Each author on your site must have:Movie Fifty Shades Darker (2017)
- set up their Google+ Profile Page
- uploaded their photo at gravatar.com. (The main use of the gravatar (photo) is to show their face whenever they make a comment on a WordPress site but we will also use the image and place it next to the author bio.)
- logged into your WordPress site, edited “Your Profile”, added a few lines to their bio and saved their Google+ Profile Page URL
- edited their Google+ Profile Page and added a “contributor link” back to their author page on your site
Steps in Setting Up an Author Box
The Site Administrator selects AuthorSure on the Setting menu, and then:
- Sets the rel=author method as Author Box
- Enters the title text that precedes the author name
- Enters the size of the author photo – typically between 50px and 150px
- Saves AuthorSure settings
- Tests the results by selecting a post, and pasting its URL into the Google Rich Snippets Testing Tool
